“Scream Queen” EP out digitally, to tape, & CD now on 2999rec
Synth pop written, recorded, programmed, & mixed by Ms. Bea Bohannon. Inspired by the ethos of Electro, Avant Funk, and Italo Disco
Bea Bohannon a Phoenix-based producer began to DJ vinyl records specializing in Synth Pop, Italo Disco, and Hi-NRG in 2021. During this phase of musical exploration she formed a deep passion for dance-oriented electronic music.
In 2023 Ms. Bohannon began recording music under the moniker Musique Machine, a nod to influences such as Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, and Patrick Miller.
Over the course of 2023 and 2024 Ms. Bohannon self published five different singles. She then compiled them to tape in early 2025 released through her independent tape label Machine Music.
Her debut EP, “Haunted House” was released both digitally and to tape on Halloween 2025 via the Machine Music imprint. The project was based on the principle of live recording and relinquishing the control that comes with multi-track recording. These tracks were sequencer driven and dance floor-oriented.
In early 2026 she partnered with 2999rec and released a new track “Fainting Spells” featured on their AS V.A. Comp — This fall she released her second EP “Scream Queen” on 2999rec. It is available now as a digital download, cassette tape, and CD. The release explores themes related to gender identity, psychotic women, technological despair, and societal collapse.
